OUR NEW TODDLER PROGRAM!

At BCS, we believe in the power of early learning experiences and celebrate young children’s curiosity. Plant the seeds for a life-long love of learning and passion for the outdoors in our new caregiver and child program for children ages 18 months to 3 years.

PROGRAM DETAILS

WHO Trailblazers is for children ages 1.5 to 3 years old, plus at least one adult. Non-mobile babies (babies in carriers) are welcome to join!

WHATIn our special blend of child-led, nature-based early childhood education, your little one will participate in age-appropriate outdoor exploration, hands-on activities, stories, and socialization, led by our experienced outdoor educator, Scrap! Be a part of the BCS community, meet other outdoor-loving families, and join us weekly for nature-based learning!

WHERE Mondays at the Pine Hollow Arboretum in Slingerlands and Wednesdays on Bethlehem Children’s School’s 4-acre campus.

WHEN Mondays and Wednesdays, 9:30-11am, for eight weeks from March 9 to May 6 (with no classes during the week of Spring Break, April 6-10).

COST Families will have the following flexible registration options: All 8 Monday classes, all 8 Wednesday classes, all 16 classes, or a 10-class flex pass. Enroll a second sibling for a 10% discount.

Meet our Trailblazers teacher!

Courtney Wrenn, better known as Scrap, is an artist and educator with a Master’s in Education in Integrative Learning from Endicott College. She is passionate about engaging with young people in nature and has worked in a wide range of early childhood programs throughout the Hudson Valley and Capital Region, including positions at Growing Circle Montessori, the Mohonk Preserve, Seed Song Farm, Zen Mountain Monastery, High Meadow School, Kite’s Nest, and the Catskill Wheelhouse. She is mom to a 20-month-old toddler, practicing yoga, meditation, and environmentally aware values within the wonders of everyday life.
