Being the parent of a child attending public school and a child attending BCS, the difference in their educational experience is huge. BCS has provided a more relaxed, less stressful environment that has allowed my son to explore and grow both educationally and socially. He feels comfortable and enjoys learning and being able to explore and build upon his own strengths.
Although the education in public school is acceptable, the environment is much less relaxed and they strictly adhere to a curriculum consisting largely of worksheets and very regimented activities. The hands-on learning, that is so integral at BCS is impossible to reproduce in even the “smaller” size classrooms of a public school. The confidence that
comes with being a part of a community and having the opportunity to explore and appreciate learning, both individually and within a group, is what sets The Bethlehem Children’s School apart from any other educational setting.
